@Jon Harald Søby: I am unable to connect with the formatter URL here and it looks like its dead. Can you update the URL or do we have to deprecate and archive this property. Gotitbro (talk) 17:27, 15 October 2020 (UTC)Reply

@Gotitbro: Hmm, good question. I've been doing some searching, but am not able to find any replacement for this on the official FIFA website. I sent them an email asking about it, but don't have high hopes of getting a reply. Jon Harald Søby (talk) 07:06, 16 October 2020 (UTC)Reply
There doesn’t seem to be actual profile pages for the players anymore like there used to be, but FIFA still uses these identifiers internally: go to https://www.fifa.com/worldcup/archive/russia2018/matches/match/300331503/#match-lineups for example and inspect the player names with browser devtools (there’s a property called data-player-id). It doesn’t help us of course, but at least it’s not completely obliterated. I think @Trade’s solution of adding the Wayback Machine link is good for now. –Kooma (talk) 20:09, 16 October 2020 (UTC)Reply
