Subclass of what edit
@ArthurPSmith: I would advocate using subclass of (P279) color (Q1075) rather than instance of (P31). Now (and it's understandable)

then transitivity doesn't work. Additionally how can we call green an instance? Where is it situated and when was it created? Or you want to claim that color (Q1075) is a metaclass?? --Infovarius (talk) 14:56, 27 May 2018 (UTC)
- Well, what is an "instance" of green (Q3133) in the first place? Is the instance the spectral properties of an object, or the act of visual perception of something with that appearance? So it's not clear that any of these are really classes in the sense that they are collections of physical entities; however to the degree they have any such meaning, the subclass relation makes sense as a way of grouping narrower filters of experiences or object surfaces into broader ones. But that meaning does not carry over to color (Q1075) itself. So yes, I'm saying that color (Q1075) is clearly a metaclass. ArthurPSmith (talk) 00:38, 28 May 2018 (UTC)
