National Gallery of Canada? edit
@QTHCCAN: In April 2019, you added a statement saying that the National Gallery of Canada had works by David Pohle in their collection.
The database search on their website however returns zero results for "David Pohle", zero results for "Pohle" and 7 results for "David" in the "1700s and earlier" timeframe, none of which is related to the composer in any way. Also, I wonder why the NGC would want to collect items by or about a little-known German composer from the Baroque era.
Might there have been some confusion of persons with similar names? -- Martinus KE (talk) 13:16, 21 May 2021 (UTC)
- Update: The NGC website refers to David Bohle, a 19th-century Canadian artist (metalworker) who made soup spoons and such. This is clearly a different person. I'm going to delete the misleading information from the data item for the 17th-century composer. -- Martinus KE (talk) 21:30, 3 August 2022 (UTC)
