Motivation

The ClinicalTrials.gov identifier is widely used to refer to clinical trials. If we want to cover such trials here (not entirely sure about that yet), we'll probably need this identifier, and hence this property.

OMG yes please ask me about my manifesto at meta:Grants:IdeaLab/Management of most public documentation for clinical research in which I talk about a potential use of having these identifiers in Wikidata.
