Discussion edit

Good news, there's already a property for FEC identifiers: US Federal Election Commission ID (P1839). Trivialist (talk) 02:18, 12 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Trivialist: except that the regular expression is different, and the constraints limit it items (human / organization) with US citizenship that are occupied as politicians and are members of political parties, so that doesn't work --DannyS712 (talk) 02:41, 12 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry, didn't see that. Trivialist (talk) 09:54, 12 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@DannyS712, Trivialist:I can confirm that the FEC issues seperate IDs both to individuals and political committees. Which.. now that I think of it.. shouldn't we just do FEC committee ID over just campaign committees? For example, Democratic National Committee (Q1185863) has C00010603. We could be a bit broader with it, I imagine. –MJLTalk 22:56, 14 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
