Motivation edit
Genius (Q3419343) is a user-generated database consisting mainly of annotated song lyrics. It has been used by both Spotify and Apple Music for its lyrics, and notable musical artists often annotate and explain their own songs on the site.
Lyrics are organized according to artist, but if an artist has recorded a song with the same lyrics more than once, the same lyrics page is used for both tracks. This means that a composition may have more than one lyrics page, and each page may be linked to from more than one item.
