- Dan Koehl (talk • contribs • new items • new lexemes • SUL • Block log • User rights log • User rights • xtools)
I have patrolled Wikidata 1,5 years and during an increasing rate in Patrolling after I joined WikiProject Counter-Vandalism I have noticed the need for more Admin actions such as user blocking, page protection, and deletion. I'm experienced with RTRC and Huggle from other projects and have since my almost 16 years been an admin on 3 other projects. In order to continue fighting against vandalism on Wikidata in my native language Swedish, as well as Norwegian, Danish, German and English, I will make a better fight with the admin tools. --Dan Koehl (talk) 10:06, 12 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

- Support. The candidate is a prolific vandal-fighter and seems to have put much effort into cross-wiki collaboration. Gaining admin rights is a natural next step. Deryck Chan (talk) 10:57, 14 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

- I see that you're a bureaucrat of Species. What is your vision on the future relationship between Wikidata and Species? Deryck Chan (talk) 14:35, 12 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
- An interesting question, but regardless of my answer, and in the role of WS crat, I can just say that it shall not negatively influence any potential admin activities here. In 2015, I established Project Wikidata on Wikispecies on Wikispecies, with the mission to discuss the integration of Wikispecies with Wikidata, and serve as a collaboration platform with Wikidata:Wikispecies in order to increase communication. - @Dan Koehl: can you please comment on Esquilo’s vote above? What has happened? —MisterSynergy (talk) 18:25, 18 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
- Without going into details, I would not put too much emphasis on the actions of sv.wikipedia. --Rschen7754 04:26, 19 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
- Comment Thanks for your help with vandalism. Much appreciated. I think it would be good to attempt to gain more experience with building Wikidata items, e.g. we generally add just one spelling as label, not all. --- Jura 19:09, 18 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
