Aim and Scope edit
The aim of the Black Teacher Archive (BTA) WikiProject is to create linked data for the organizations, K-12 schools, and education leaders represented in the Black Teacher Archive. This project is stewarded by the Monroe C. Gutman Library of the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
Background edit
The Black Teacher Archive (BTA) is a digital portal centralizing materials created by professional organizations of African American educators in the 20th century, historically referred to as Colored Teachers Associations (CTAs). The BTA brings together materials from over 70 archival repositories across the United States; the bulk of the collection is comprised of digitized serial publications published by state educator organizations and nationally.
