A WikiProject for work undertaken at IUPUI University Library (Q5975426) to improve the coverage in Wikidata of underrepresented subjects and communities in the State of Indiana with a focus on supporting the Scholarly Profiles as Service model.
Scholarly Profiles as Service edit
The Scholarly Profiles as Service model, developed and implemented by the Open Knowledge Librarian at IUPUI University Library (Q5975426), aims to provide a presence in Wikidata for all IUPUI-affiliated faculty and the scholarship they produce. One way in which we are accomplishing this work is by creating entries in Wikidata for all core faculty from the 16 campus-based schools with an emphasis on women faculty. This focus on women faculty is an attempt to contribute toward balancing the prevalent gender divide in Wikidata. Another piece of this project is identifying whether works by the faculty are already in Wikidata, and if so, making sure they are linked to the corresponding faculty (moving the values from the author name string property to the author property, either manually or by using the Author Disambiguator tool).

Generating Scholarly Profiles edit
To generate Scholarly Profiles using the data contributed to Wikidata, we are employing the use of Scholia. Scholia is a web-based service that feeds from Wikidata to dynamically generate faculty profiles.
