Declarations edit
General edit
homograph lexeme (P5402) edit
If two lexemes have the same spelling, they should be linked by this property. The property is symmetrical, which means that if it appears on one side, it should appear on the other one.
usage example (P5831) edit
This property is used to show usage examples of the lexeme. All the forms of the lexeme can be shown. To ensure that the form and sense are correctly identified, the qualifiers subject form (P5830) and subject sense (P6072) should be used. Here is a list of form-sense pairs without usage examples: [2].
Etymology edit
derived from lexeme (P5191) edit
This property indicates from which words in other languages the lexeme is deriving from. It should be used carefully, as the etymological description is not formalised in the ontology.
combines lexemes (P5238) edit
This property has two uses:
- it indicates the Esperanto roots used to build the lexeme. The property should mainly be linked to roots, affixes and finales.
- it indicates the Esperanto word used in a locution.
officialized by (P5194) edit
This property indicates which document, emitted by the Esperanto Academy, has officialised the lexeme. It should only be used on roots, affixes, pronouns and prepositions.

time of earliest written record (P1249) edit

For a list of the forms without an IPA transcription, see [5].
pronunciation audio (P443) edit
This property is helpful to add a file to listen to the pronunciation of the form. For a list of the forms without a file, see [6]. If you want to record the forms, you can use Lingua Libre and this request.
Disclaimers edit
Some properties are used in different ways. This section lists the problematic ones.
word stem (P5187) edit
This property was defined for Japanese words. If used for Esperanto lexemes, it is a duplicate of combines lexemes (P5238).
has characteristic (P1552) edit
This property is sometimes used in declarations to indicate neologism. However, this should be indicated in the senses, as a lexeme can have an old sense and a new one.
collective noun for animals (P6571) edit
This property is defined to hold between lexemes. However, it seems more accurate to use it between senses, which is not possible.
