Motivation edit

To increase the usage of Singapore Infopedia, an electronic encyclopedia on Singapore published by the National Library Board Singapore (NLB). Nlbkos (talk) 01:49, 4 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I tried to replace the URI https://eresources.nlb.gov.sg/infopedia/articles/SIP_2013-03-18_164023.html with only the identifier SIP_2013-03-18_164023 in the examples, but it does not work. Do I miss out something?

Example 1 Lee Kuan Yew (Q131248) → https://eresources.nlb.gov.sg/infopedia/articles/SIP_2013-03-18_164023.html

Hi, just helped you clean up the examples. -- Btcprox (talk) 16:22, 11 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Discussion edit

@Nlbkos, Btcprox, Gerwoman, Pigsonthewing, Rachmat04: Singapore Infopedia ID (former scheme) (P8350) has been created. Pamputt (talk) 05:24, 18 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for approving the creation of the Singapore Infopedia ID property. I tried to enter the identifier "SIP_2013-03-18_164023" into the Wikidata item "Lee Kuan Yew" (Q131248), but encounter the following error message:

format constraint The value for Singapore Infopedia ID (SIP_2013-03-18_164023) should match the regex SIP[\_[\d]*]{0,1}\_\d{4}\-\d\d\-\d\d[[\_\d]*]{0,1}.

The identifier also does not link to the article. Is there an error somewhere? --Nlbkos (talk) 06:41, 18 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

According to a Regex 101 test that's a valid match. I've fixed the linking issue. You might get more attention by posting on the property's talk page, BTW. Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 11:06, 18 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
The URIs of Singapore Infopedia articles had been amended. For example, the URI for the article of Siva Choy https://eresources.nlb.gov.sg/infopedia/articles/SIP_1665_2010-04-28.html is replaced by https://www.nlb.gov.sg/main/article-detail?cmsuuid=8709468f-f41f-44b4-9e8a-ef6ac25accfe. We would like to propose a new property of the same name Singapore Infopedia ID while renaming the current property P8350 as Singapore Infopedia ID (former scheme), similar to what Vatican Library had done to its old property Vatican Library ID (former scheme) (P1017). Could you advise how we should proceed from here?. We have tried proposing the new property at Wikidata:Property proposal/Authority control, but it bring us back to this existing page Wikidata:Property proposal/Singapore Infopedia ID. Thank you.
