Hi, I'm editing 2016 São Paulo mayoral election (Q25419391) and adding declarations following Municipal elections 2017 in Helsinki in Finland (Q29379633), which seemed to me be the best example of a municipal election item. My question to you people is about the successful candidate (P991) and candidate (P726) properties. What do you think is the best value to put there thinking not only in the municipal elections but in the general ones too?
- A) The person elected (in the general elections here in Brazil we elect about 1709 people!)? If this option is the best, should we put all of them (All of them must have articles in Portuguese Wikipedia, and so an item here)? With qualifiers (like votes received, party etc or none?)?
- B) The party of the politicians elected like Municipal elections 2017 in Helsinki in Finland (Q29379633), with all qualifiers successful candidate (P991) and candidate (P726) allow? In this case, where should one put the information about the political alliance? Should be created a property for that (something like 2014 Brazilian general election (Q4958898) --> successful candidate (P991) --> Workers' Party (Q657089) with qualifier "Political alliance" --> With the Strength of the People (Q5466690)) or parliamentary group (P4100) (which is a qualifier of position held (P39), not successful candidate (P991) or candidate (P726)) will do just fine?
- C) Other solution?
Thank you, and good contributions. Ederporto (talk) 20:19, 8 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
- @Ederporto: as mentioned in the Wikidata:Requests for comment page, RFCs should only be started after discussing the issue somewhere else first (to make sure the RFC gets enough visibility and momentum). Would you mind moving your request (if it is still current) to a wikiproject talk page such as Wikidata talk:WikiProject every politician? − Pintoch (talk) 00:47, 8 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
- Hello, @Pintoch:, what are the procedures for ending the request? This is not necessary anymore due to the creation of political coalition (P5832). Good contributions, Ederporto (talk) 02:01, 8 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
- Okay! That's fine then, we can just close this as is. − Pintoch (talk) 09:45, 8 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
