- Oppose I don't see how this fits with the purposes of Wikidata. --Rschen7754 21:17, 21 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Maybe i am missing something. DO i need a bot account to read information from the wikidata? Or bot account is needed only for write access? I need only read access. Maybe i don't need a bot account for this?
- Read access is totally free and doesn't require an account. Bot accounts are needed for mass-write access. If you are going to update information manually, you don't need a bot. Legoktm (talk) 06:55, 22 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- (edit conflict) Oppose Well, API requests are rate limited for anonymous and normal users. But in any case, this I think is completely irrelevant to Wikidata, per above.--Jasper Deng (talk) 06:56, 22 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I don't understand why you way this is not relevant to what wikidata does. I will describe a use case.
MyEducationPath.com helps to build education path with free online courses. A user selects an occupations he wants and the site suggests the pathway with online courses to learn needed knowledge. The user will not always know what are subjects of courses he is suggested to study. In this place i want to display to user some more information about selected courses. Like show meaning of keywords and tags of a courses. Or i don't understand what is relevant using of Wikidata?
- This has absolutely nothing to do with Wikidata. --Rschen7754 19:56, 22 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
