Wikidata:WikiProject Medicine/MeSH

Medical Subject Headings (Q199897) is a United States government system for medical information. Much medical information has MeSH classification, so if Wikidata syncs with MeSH, then a huge body of medical content syncs with Wikidata.

This project documents the effort to reconcile the MeSH classification system with Wikidata.

WikiCite project

The WikiCite project is an effort in Wikidata and across Wikimedia projects to "develop a database of open citations and linked bibliographic data to serve free knowledge."

WikiCite project organizers have long wished to associate MeSH headings with scholarly publications and other biomedical research assets. As the WikiCite project is particularly well developed, it is a community base for supporting and providing commentary on MeSH integration into Wikidata.
