English: Uniform paraphernalia of a member of de Vereniging 'Het Graf van Sint Servaas' (Society of the Grave of Saint Servatius), on duty in the Basilica of Saint Servatius in Maastricht, Netherlands, during the 2018 Heiligdomsvaart ("Relics Pilgrimage"). The society was founded in 1937 and takes care of various organizational aspects of the pilgrimage. The uniform consists of evening dress, white tie, a black cape with red patch and a chain with a small version of the Key of Saint Servatius.
The history of the Heiligdomsvaart goes back to the Middle Ages. The first 'modern' version of this seven-yearly, ten-day catholic pilgrimage took place in 1874. The 2018 Heiligdomsvaart was the 55th modern edition.
