Thispicture is of the most precious quality, and is unquestionablyone of the choicest of this artists productions. Exhibited in the British Gallery, 1821. The Interior of a cottage, with a company of four men infront, one of whom is standing with his hat in his hand, andhis back to the chimney ; whilst another, who is sitting down,appears to be offering him a glass of beer; near the latter area child, eating soup out of a basin on a chair, and a dogwatching it; two persons are in the back-ground, playing attric-trac; and a third is looking on.
