Object history Das Bild wurde von Jawlenskys Freund, dem deutschen Maler Adolf Erbslöh gekauft. Später stiftete Erbslöh das Bild dem Kunst- und Museumsverein Wuppertal. In den Dreißiger- und Vierzigerjahren des 20. Jahrhunderts wurde das als "entartet" eingestufte Bild in Erbslöhs Haus in Irschenhausen versteckt. Nach dem Krieg gab Erbslöhs Witwe das Bild wieder nach Wuppertal zurück. Heute befindet es sich im Von der Heydt-Museum Wuppertal.
