«Портрет царевны Анны Петровны» После 1740 г. Холст, масло. 88,2x71,0. Ранее ошибочно считался изображением вел. кн. Екатерины Алексеевны, типа Гроота. Идентифицирован на основании сравнения с портретами Анны Петровны. Атрибуция на основании сходства ряда живописных приемов подтверждена результатами технико-технологических исследований (ГЭ). Датирован Г. В. Дубининой (Москва) 1740-ми гг. по покрою платья и форме серег, с предположением, что портрет написан спустя годы после смерти цесаревны, после воцарения Елизаветы Петровны, любимой сестрой которой была изображенная. Эта гипотеза представляется правомерной, поскольку Анну Петровну И. Н. Адольский мог портретировать еще при жизни. Анна Петровна (1708—1728) — царевна, с 1721 г. — цесаревна, старшая дочь Петра I и Екатерины Алексеевны. С 1725 г. — жена герцога Голштейн-Готторпского Карла Фридриха. Мать императора Петра III. Изображена в серебряном парчовом платье и горностаевой мантии, со звездой и лентой ордена св. Екатерины, с аграфом на груди, с диадемой из жемчужин и драгоценных камней, с серьгами.
