Description
Español: Además de las limas, en primer plano, se ve sobre un plato de loza blanca una caja de dulce entreabierta sobre la que revolotea una mariposa (mezcla de "limonera", gonepteryx rhamni L., y "colia común", colias crocea Geoff). A la derecha, sobre una fuente de peltre, un cuenco vidriado de loza mexicana, del tipo morfológico atamía, con sencilla decoración vegetal y lineal (espirales) típica de la talavera poblana. Delante, a la derecha, una pequeña orza vidriada en su tercio superior o 'babero' y cubierta con un paño y un bramante de cuerda; que por el tamaño y el hecho de estar tapada, probablemente contiene miel para endulzar la compota de limas. La ficha del Museo del Prado hace una descripción diferente: En primer término unas limas.., detrás de ellas una orza de miel, con vidriado verde, como las de Biar o Lucena... En último término se dispone una caja de jalea abierta sobre plato de castañuela, y, una salva con pie, de plata o peltre sobre la que descansa una taza de cerámica mejicana de tipo Tonalá. La mariposa que sobrevuela el conjunto, resulta interesante por su rareza.
