Español: El lienzo representa a Chintila, que fue rey de los visigodosentre los años 636 y 639 ó 640. Sucedió al rey Sisenando y fue sucedido a su vez por su hijo, el rey Tulga. El rey Chintila aparece representado de pie, en un interior probablemente religioso, con su mano apoyada en un libro abierto sobre un altar, detrás del cual se ve una cruz que evoca la orfebrería prerrománica asturiana. Viste túnica de color carmesí y manto blanco, y con su mano izquierda sujeta el largo cetro.
