Description
English: The church of the Evangelic-Lutheran parish in Lapinjarvi, Finland There are two churches side by side in the main village of the municipality of Lapinjarvi. They replaced the two churches which were burned 1742. The church in picture is called the Swedish church as it was ment originally for the Swedish speaking citizens. The church was build 17431744, plastered in white 1871 and the stained glasses are made by Lennart Segerstrale. The form of the base of this Swedish church is cross. The form of the base of the Finnish church is retangle and it was built in 1744.
