Description
Français : Primitivement, l’église paroissiale d’Aime était construite sur la colline Saint-Sigismond. Au 13e/14e siècle, elle fut transportée à l’emplacement actuel. Elle était alors "orientée", c’est-à-dire que sa porte d’entrée se situait à l’ouest et que son chevet était à l’est. Elle était alors dédiée à Saint Sigismond, le dernier roi burgonde qui au 5e siècle apporte un appui décisif aux catholiques du royaume.

The church of Aime was on the Saint-Sigismond hill. In the 13th/14th century, dedicated to Saint Sigismond, the last Burgundian king who in the 5th century brought decisive support to the Catholics of the kingdom, it was moved and oriented.
