Description
Français : L’église Sainte Catherine, blottie dans un écrin de tilleuls se détache sur un sol aux nuances rouges foulé par les boulistes. Fondée au XIIIeme siècle par l’abbaye de Saint-Michel en l’Herm, elle sera agrandie, embellie et dotée d’un clocher au XVe siècle puis reconstruite en 1830. La séparation de l’Église et de l’État en 1905 est gravée sur le fronton sous la forme de l’estampille liberté, égalité, fraternité. En 2008 l’église a fait l’objet d’importants travaux de restauration en partenariat avec la Fondation du Patrimoine.
