Svenska: Målningen föreställer ett flodlandskap med bebyggelse. Husen till höger i målningen är grå varav ett har ett rött tak. En trappa leder ner till flodbädden där en man med vit skjorta sitter i en båt på väg ut eller just återkommen från en färd på floden. Motivets högra del upptas av den i gråaktiga nyanser målade floden kantad av träd målade med skissartade och breda penseldrag. Dessa tillsammans med den molntäckta himlen ger intrycket av ett disigt väder.
