By the side of the water the daughter of pharoah accompanied by her companions is about to go bathing. Two women pull the basket out of the water. Part of five paintings that served as wall hangings of the achterzaal (back room) of Nieuwegracht 6 in Utrecht. Of the sixth wall hanging by Jan van Bijlert only a fragment remained, now in the Centraal Museum in Utrecht. |
