About 1952 (established 1860). Active; focal plane 11m (36ft); red light osculating once every 4 sec. 10m (33ft) round cast iron tower with lantern, gallery, and six ribs. Tower painted white, lantern and gallery red.
The 1875 lighthouse that was here, a sibling of the green jetty light, was destroyed during World War II and replaced twice.
