Euskara: Enrique de Areilza sendagile-zirujau ospetsuak 1881. urtean Gallartako meatzari ospitaleari hasiera eman zion. Erietxe honetako mediku jarduerak, 1930. urtean itxi egin zuten arte iraun zuen.
Gerra garaian tuberkulosidun gaixoei harrera egin zitzaien bertan. Gaixoei nahi adina janari ematen zitzaien, sendatzeko gainelikadura baten beharra zeukaten eta. Jarduera horretatik datorkio egungo Preventorio izena. Eraikinaren jabetza aldatu zen. 50eko hamarkadan Bizkaiko gobernadore falangistaren agindupean eraberritu ostean, Genaro Riestra eskola deituriko nesken barnetegi bat ireki zuten, non Espainia osotik etorritako neskek oinarrizko irakaskuntza jasotzen zuten. Franco hil ondoren, Buenos Aires eskola deituko da, izen bereko muinoan dagoelako. Baina eraikina, zaintze ezaren ondorioz, itxi egin behar izan zuten eta mendi magalean beste eskola bat eraiki zuten, alegia, Buenos Aires eskola, 1983an irekia. |
