Description
This was the second steamship named Hans Broge, serving in the Progress Steamship Company. Built at Køge, Denmark in 1922 and registered in Copenhagen. The paintig shows the vessel as it looked between 1922 and the outbreak of World War II in 1939. Hans Broge was sunk by British aircraft near Texel on June 15, 1941 travelling from Copenhagen to Rotterdam.
