English: Charles Garnier, architect of the Palais Garnier in Paris, plaster bust (68 cm high) created by Jean-Baptiste Carpeaux in 1869, possibly as the model for the galvanoplastic bronze bust (executed by Christofle), which is on display in the Grand Foyer of the Palais Garnier. This plaster version , located at Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek in Copenhagen, was obtained from Amélie Carpeaux, the sculptor's wife.[1][2]
