Nederlands: Portret van Johannes Thedens (1680-1748). Gouverneur-generaal (1741-43). Staande, ten halven lijve, met borstharnas, commandostaf in de rechterhand, de linkerhand in de zij. Links in de achtergrond het kasteel van Batavia, rechts zuilen. Onderdeel van een reeks van kopieën naar portretten van de gouverneurs-generaal van het voormalige Nederlands Oost-Indië, waarschijnlijk afkomstig van de Verenigde Oostindische Compagnie.
