Description
The painting shows St. Francis and St. Clare of Assisi in adoration of the Infant Christ in the cave of nativity. The painting is a copy after a lost composition by Gerard Seghers (1591-1651), but probably not after the original, but after a print reproduction by Pieter de Jode (1606-1674), published by Cornelis Galle.
