Notes Used the uncropped version of the image with the original borders by Alanen that Ateneum provided on another page. Seemingly the same photograph, just uncropped. An expert on Alanen describes here: https://areena.yle.fi/1-50495504 that the borders are generally part of his artwork (in a meta sense to strengthen the feeling of the work itself being a work, an illustration). Some are much more detailed than others but I generally aim to keep a little bit of these plain ones too when possible.
