Summary

Description

(1 in a multiple picture album) This lady, perhaps one of the last who know the art, was weaving a blanket in the art store in Mesa Verde National Park. I asked her if I might take her picture. In a very soft voice she said, 'Yes, if you pay me.' I did. I think she is an iconic figure for a way of life nearly past.

The picture was used in a grade school book called 'Chemical Tests' by the Smithonian Science Education Center. (ISBN 978-1-933008-41-7 [Page 46]. These books are used for kindergarten through 6th Grade in the United State. I was quite proud that they asked me for permission.
