Matenadaran - Het manuscriptenmuseum. Voor het museum bevindt zich een standbeeld van Mesrop Mashtots, de ontwerper van het Armeens alfabet. Het museum herbergt 16000 oude en verlichte manuscripten. Het oudste "Het evangelie van Lazarus" uit 887. Het grootste: 34 kg wegend en gemaakt van 700 koeievellen en tevens het kleinste evangelie: 12 gram wegend en 3x4cm groot.
