Description
English: A flint tranchet axe of Mesolithic date. It is heavily patinated, plano-convex in section with a tranchet flake at one end and evidence of extensive plough damage on both faces. The axe measures 151.11mm in length, 48.46mm in width, 27.20mm in thickness, and weighs 260.06g. This axe is of Mesolithic date, c.8,300-4,500 BC.
