English: The Mockingboard A was the first sound card for the Apple II family of 1981. It could not use Apple´s built-in speakers but required external loudspeakers. The sound of six-voice two-channel synthesizer is produced by three independent sawtooth generators per chip. Besides, up to two speech chips could be added.
Deutsch: Das Mockingboard A ist die erste Soundkarte für die Apple-II-Familie aus 1981. Es ist ein zweikanaliger Synthesizer, wobei pro Chip der Klang mittels drei unabhängiger Sägezahngeneratoren erzeugt wird. Es besteht die Möglichkeit, bis zu zwei Sprachsynthesizerchips nachzurüsten. |
