Description |
Svenska: Nyckelharpa.
Scenkonstmuseet: N143757.
English: Nyckelharpa.
Swedish Museum of Performing Arts: N143757. The nyckelharpa has belonged to the painter and director for the Art Academy, Georg von Rosen (1843-1923). It was bought in 1923 by Nordiska Museet from Bukowskis konsthandel. The instrument has been rebuilt from an enkelharpa to a kontrabasharpa or is a combination of both types of key mechanics (Ling). A bow that belongs to the nyckelharpa has the inscription "1778" on the grip board and on the other side "PPS". The bow has probably accompanied the nyckelharpa through the centurys and can therefor indirect confirm a date for the construction of the instrument to that same year. The carving is similar to other carvings from the same time and is probably not a falsification (Ling). Accessories: bridge Deposition from Nordiska Museet. Manufacturer: Unknown / unsure |
