The nyckelharpa was owned by a carpenter, Anders Rosenqvist (1774-1839), at Hargs Works in the 1820th. After his death it was bought by Mrs Jeanette Marie Matton, born Ekström. The instrument was probably built in the 18th century. Carvings in geometrical patterns occur on the early medieval nyckelharpa to the silverbasharpa. These patterns can also be seen in the Medieval paintings of nyckelharpas in the Häverö and Rynkeby
