English: Petrus Paaw (born 1564, died 1617), a Dutch botanist and anatomist.
This picture was used in his work Succenturiatus Anatomicus, continens Commentaria in Hippocratem de Capitis Vulneribus. Additæ sunt Annotationes in aliquot Capita Libri octavi C. Celsi, which was published in 1616 and is now available in the digital collection of the Bayerische StaatBibliothek here. The same picture can also be seen here, on the website of the Bibliothèque Interuniversitaire de Médecine of Paris.
Nederlands: Petrus Paaw (geboren in 1564, overleden in 1617), een Nederlands botanicus en anatoom.
Deze tekening werd gebruikt in zijn werk Succenturiatus Anatomicus, continens Commentaria in Hippocratem de Capitis Vulneribus. Additæ sunt Annotationes in aliquot Capita Libri octavi C. Celsi, dat gepubliceerd werd in 1616. Tegenwoordig is dat boek hier volledig te raadplegen in de digitale collectie van de Bayerische StaatBibliothek. Dezelfde tekening is ook hier beschikbaar, op de website van de Bibliothèque Interuniversitaire de Médecine van Parijs.
