Description
English: Photo of Ben Vollers, painting during the Dutch art manifestation Lek-art, September 2008. The two artists Ben Vollers and Fons Heijnsbroek painted together as BenFo their fusion-art for five days long in the old mill De Hoop in Culemborg town. They created there in the brick mill interior a series of large paintings. Public was visiting the mill during these days and could see how they cooperated together, painting on one canvas. Motif for the two artists was the small Dutch city Culemborg along the river Lek, and its flat low countryland around mill and town. Also the old interior of the mill itself was partly an inspiration for the two artists.
Nederlands: Foto van Ben Vollers - aan het schilderen tijdens de Nederlandse kunstmanifestatie Lek-art in september2008. De twee kunstenaars Ben Vollers en Fons Heijnsbroek schilderden samen als BenFo vijf dagen lang hun fusion-kunst in de oude molen De Hoop in Culemborg. Daar maakten ze in het interieur van de steenmolen een serie grote schilderijen. Tijdens deze dagen bezocht het publiek de molen en kon zo zien hoe de twee kunstenaars al 'jammend met kwast' samenwerkten, schilderend op één doek. Motief voor de twee kunstenaars was de kleine stad Culemborg aan de rivier de Lek, en het vlakke, lage land rond de molen en stad. Ook het oude interieur van de molen zelf was deels een inspiratiebron voor beide kunstenaars.
