Description
Nederlands: Net als op zijn schilderij Morgenrit langs het strand (zaal 1.18), gaf Mauve de ruiters op de rug gezien weer. In het uitgestorven bos stappen ze weg van de toeschouwer. In de aquarel steken de kale takken af tegen de mistige achtergrond, vaag verlicht door de winterzon. Uit het geheel spreekt een stemming van stilte en sereniteit.
