Español: La obra representa al insigne teólogo dominico Santo Tomás de Aquino, que aparece de cuerpo entero y de pie, está representado con el hábito de los monjes dominicos, llevando la túnica blanca con escapulario y manto negro con capuchón echado hacia la espalda. Con la mano derecha sujeta una pluma de la que sale un haz de rayos de luz y en la izquierda lleva un libro, objetos que hacen referencia a su doctrina. Sobre el pecho cuelga un sol que es atributo de su sabiduría y por detrás de su espalda sobresalen dos grandes alas que hacen alusión al momento en que los ángeles ciñen al santo el cíngulo de la castidad. Sobre su cabeza, el Espíritu Santo desciende de los cielos en forma de paloma para inspirarle.
