Description
English: Skull of King Sigurd I Magnusson "Jorsalfare" of Norway. Retrieved from a crack in his tomb at the St. Hallvard's Cathedral in Oslo by a young student in 1656. After many years in Copenhagen, it was given back to the University of Oslo in 1867, and inserted in the wall of the new royal tomb in Akershus in 1957. (NBL)
