Description
  • English: Statue of St. Matthew the Evangelist. Alongside with statues of the three other Evangelists, it used to stand in a niche on the side of the central portal of the Duomo in Florence (Italy). After 1587, the group was moved into the Cathedral, then into the Museo dell'Opera del Duomo in 1936.
