《黃昏》是李梅樹的代表作品之一，李梅樹以自己女兒們為模特兒，如大女兒麗霞、二女兒麗月、三女兒麗玉等著農裝入畫，至為親切傳神。

創造了這幅膾炙人口的鄉土鉅作，每每為大家所欣賞，尤其是描繪臺灣鄉村婦女勤勞樸實一面，黃昏時，人物背後長而舒緩的水平線，象徵大地無盡而莊嚴的生命力。
