English: Holotype (MCSNB 4035) of Sclerostropheus fossaiWild 1980 (formerly Tanystropheus), a diapsid reptile from the Upper Triassic of northern Italy on display at the Museo di Scienze Naturali «Enrico Caffi», Bergamo. Due to the incompleteness of the specimen, which comprises a few cervical vertebrates only, there is doubt whether it truly belongs to the genus Tanystropheus.[1]
