Description
English: The Duchess of Berry at Dieppe in 1829. This Portrait of the Duchesse de Berry at Dieppe in 1829 depicts her in an elegant white lawn dress with a blue moiré sash, whose impact is enhanced by the skilful deployment of the red drapery. She is standing in front of the cabins of the Bains Caroline. Alexandre-Jean Dubois-Drahonet shows the famous figure of the Duchess as a distinguished woman of her time, in front of the establishment which her visits to Dieppe had largely helped to popularize.
