Description
Nederlands: Portret van de schilder Wybrand de Geest. Iets meer dan borststuk naar rechts gewend. Gekleed in zwart wambuis. Rond hals geplooide, witte kanten kraag. Bruine snor en puntbaard; golvend, bruin hoofdhaar. Onder uit kraag hangt een lus van gouddraad. Bruine achtergrond. Pendant van SK-A-1781. Wybrand de Geest portretteerde zichzelf en zijn vrouw Hendrikje van Uylenburg in 1629. Hij was toen 37 jaar oud, Hendrikje 29. Zij waren in 1622 met elkaar getrouwd kort na de terugkomst van Wybrand uit Italië.
