Adding clothing, folk costume

@Nikki, Popcorndude, Kaldari, Mbch331, Jane023, Spinster: I'd like to add instances or subclasses of clothing (Q11460) (individual garments) and traditional costume (Q3172759) as acceptable Types for indigenous to (P2341). Examples would be:

• nutukas (Q5405512) <indigenous to> Sámi peoples (Q48199)
• mukluk (Q2636268) <indigenous to> Inuit (Q189975)
• folk costume of the North Frisian Islands (Q20547) <indigenous to> North Frisian Islands (Q27937)

Food and species

Hello, @Dhx1: I was wondering why were food and species was deleted in late April and late June 2021? RXerself (talk) 08:57, 7 September 2021 (UTC)

• @RXerself: Sorry I can't remember why some of those edits were even done... it reads now as if all the qualifiers were deleted, then added back again in the same change, but with a few items missing. indigenous to (P2341), country of origin (P495), cuisine (P2012) and culture (P2596) are all very similar to each other but are badly defined and they're open to different interpretations and uses. I think I was trying to add constraints to make sense of these properties, but didn't progress far before getting stuck. --Dhx1 (talk) 14:38, 10 September 2021 (UTC)

Hmm yeah, I can see where people might confuse those properties. It looks like for now, culture (P2596) and cuisine (P2012) cannot be used for food though. I was thinking of using this property on items about dishes from rather less-documented ethnic groups who don't necessarily have items or Wikipedia articles about their cuisine. I know I can create one, but I'd prefer to link the dish directly to the ethnic group. As with country of origin (P495), I think we can apply something similar like located in the administrative territorial entity (P131) v. country (P17) where we only use the most detailed administrative unit and/or ethnicity as a value for indigenous to (P2341)/located in the administrative territorial entity (P131) while country of origin (P495)/country (P17) is used for general query purposes.
