Format

The current format is redundant: e.g. Q435703 has 07500/07542, however, 07542 would also be accurate (the first part is the hundreds from the second part). So I propose to change the format before too many items use it. --Tacsipacsi (talk) 22:39, 19 March 2016 (UTC)

On the one hand, sure, let's have as little redundancy as possible, while on the other hand, that would make the usage of this property a lot harder, as it would require JavaScript or something similar for every time we'd want to link to it. (If we don't change the forrmat, the regex can be refined to reflect this [(\d{3})00/\1\d{2}].) – Máté (talk) 23:15, 19 March 2016 (UTC)

I don’t know how to specify the formatter URL, but in wikitext we can use {{padleft:{{#expr:( floor({{{1}}}/100) )*100}}|5}}/{{{1}}} which ends up in 07500/07542 in this case. --Tacsipacsi (talk) 12:04, 20 March 2016 (UTC)
